A Case of Duodenal Leiomyoma Assciated with Massive Bleeding in Young Age -A case report-

Abstract
|
|
|
Duodenal leiomyomas are very rare, and preoperative diagnosis is usually difficult because they have few clinical manifestatations which are insidious in onset and vague n presentation. Rarely they produce bleeding or intestinal obstruction.
Recently we experienced a 1.5×1.0×1.0cm-sized leiomyoma on the duodenal bulb which caused massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding in a 18-year-old man, and was excised by wedge resection. The case presented here in an extremely unusual case in
that it
is a small benign tumor associated with massive bleeding n the young age group.
